Disclaimer

Scope and limitations.

Fourteen sections covering the legal and operational scope of the Veris platform.

Veris provides compliance tools and infrastructure. Veris does not provide legal advice, regulatory guidance, or financial advice. All outputs generated by the platform require review by qualified compliance professionals before any regulatory submission or business decision.

1. General Disclaimer

The information provided on the Veris website (useveris.finance), the Veris platform, and in all related materials is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to keep the information accurate and current, Fluxa Ventures LLC ("Fluxa Ventures," "we," "us") makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the Site or platform.

Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk. In no event will we be liable for any loss or damage, including indirect or consequential loss or damage, arising from the use of information provided through our Site or Services.

Nothing on this website or within the Veris platform constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, or professional compliance consulting. Veris is a technology platform that provides tools to assist compliance teams in their work. The platform does not replace the judgment of qualified compliance officers, legal counsel, or regulatory professionals.

  • Veris does not interpret laws or regulations on your behalf
  • Veris does not provide opinions on the legality of specific transactions or activities
  • Veris does not determine your regulatory obligations or filing requirements
  • Veris does not represent or advise you before any regulatory body

You should consult with qualified legal and compliance professionals for advice specific to your situation, jurisdiction, and regulatory obligations.

3. AI-Generated Outputs

Veris uses artificial intelligence, including large language models and machine learning systems, to generate triage classifications, investigation summaries, risk assessments, and narrative drafts. These AI-generated outputs are subject to inherent limitations:

  • Accuracy: AI models can produce incorrect, incomplete, or misleading results. Outputs may contain factual errors, misinterpretations of data, or unsupported conclusions.
  • Bias: AI models may reflect biases present in their training data, which could influence risk assessments, classifications, or recommendations.
  • Hallucination: AI models may generate plausible-sounding information that is fabricated and has no basis in the input data or factual record.
  • Context limitations: AI agents operate on the data available to them at the time of analysis. They cannot account for information outside their input context, including verbal agreements, offline communications, or unpublished regulatory guidance.

Every AI-generated output from Veris is clearly labeled as such within the platform. Human review and approval are required before any AI-generated content is used for regulatory filings, enforcement decisions, or formal communications with regulators.

4. Compliance Tools Limitation

The Veris platform provides compliance infrastructure including transaction monitoring, alert management, case investigation workflows, and reporting tools. These tools are designed to assist and augment human compliance teams. They are not a substitute for a comprehensive compliance program.

Using Veris does not guarantee compliance with any law, regulation, or regulatory expectation. Your organization remains solely responsible for maintaining an adequate compliance program, making regulatory determinations, and fulfilling all legal obligations. The effectiveness of the platform depends on proper configuration, adequate staffing, appropriate training, and the exercise of professional judgment by your compliance personnel.

5. Blockchain Data Accuracy

Veris indexes and analyzes data from public blockchain networks including Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and Arbitrum. While we employ robust indexing infrastructure and data validation procedures, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of blockchain data for several reasons:

  • Blockchain reorganizations may temporarily alter the transaction record
  • Indexer downtime or network disruptions may cause gaps in data coverage
  • Token metadata, including USD valuations, depends on external price feeds and may be delayed or inaccurate
  • Spam filtering thresholds (transactions below $1 USD) may exclude legitimate low-value transfers
  • New token standards or contract patterns may not be immediately supported

You should independently verify critical blockchain data through additional sources before relying on it for compliance decisions.

6. Sanctions and Screening

Veris performs automated screening against sanctions lists and risk databases maintained by OFAC, the European Union, the United Nations, and other relevant authorities. This screening is provided as a compliance tool and is subject to the following limitations:

  • Sanctions lists are updated periodically. There may be a delay between the publication of new designations and their reflection in Veris screening results.
  • Name-matching algorithms may produce false positives (flagging non-sanctioned entities) or false negatives (failing to identify sanctioned entities with variant names or aliases).
  • Blockchain address screening depends on the coverage and accuracy of third-party intelligence providers.
  • Screening results do not constitute a legal determination of sanctions exposure. Final sanctions compliance decisions must be made by qualified compliance personnel.

7. SAR Narrative Generation

The Veris AI agent can generate draft Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) narratives based on investigation data. These drafts are preliminary work products intended to assist BSA/AML analysts. They are not final regulatory filings.

  • AI-generated SAR narratives must be reviewed, edited, and approved by a qualified BSA officer before submission to FinCEN or any other regulatory authority
  • The AI agent may omit relevant information, include irrelevant details, or draw incorrect conclusions about suspicious activity
  • Your organization is solely responsible for the content, accuracy, and timeliness of all regulatory filings
  • Veris does not file SARs or any other regulatory reports on your behalf

Submitting an AI-generated SAR narrative to FinCEN or any regulatory body without adequate human review may violate regulatory requirements and expose your organization to enforcement action. Veris requires human approval at every stage before regulatory submission.

8. Risk Scores and Classifications

Veris generates risk scores, alert classifications, and priority rankings using algorithmic and AI-driven methods. These scores and classifications are indicative assessments based on available data and model parameters. They are not definitive risk determinations.

  • Risk scores may change as new data becomes available or as models are updated
  • A low risk score does not guarantee that an entity or transaction is free from risk
  • A high risk score does not establish that an entity or transaction is involved in illicit activity
  • Classification models (false_positive, needs_investigation, immediate_sar) reflect probabilistic assessments that require human validation

9. Regulatory Scope

Veris is designed to support compliance programs operating under United States BSA/AML regulations, with capabilities extending to support international AML/CFT frameworks. Regulatory requirements vary by jurisdiction, institution type, and business activity.

  • Veris does not guarantee coverage of all applicable regulations in every jurisdiction
  • Features designed for U.S. regulatory requirements (e.g., SAR filing workflows) may not satisfy equivalent requirements in other jurisdictions without adaptation
  • Changes in laws, regulations, or regulatory guidance may require updates to the platform that are not immediately available
  • You are responsible for determining which regulations apply to your organization and ensuring your compliance program addresses all applicable requirements

10. Third-Party Services

Veris integrates with and relies upon third-party services including blockchain RPC providers, AI model providers, sanctions data providers, and cloud infrastructure platforms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these third-party services. Service disruptions, data inaccuracies, or changes in third-party terms may affect the functionality of the Veris platform.

Veris monitors stablecoin transactions for compliance purposes. This monitoring activity does not represent an opinion on the value, safety, or suitability of any stablecoin or digital asset.

12. Availability and Performance

We aim to provide reliable and continuous access to the Veris platform. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, infrastructure failures, network disruptions, or events beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance windows.

Processing times for AI agent operations (triage, investigation, SAR generation) are estimates. Actual processing times may vary based on data volume, model load, and infrastructure conditions.

Our website and marketing materials may contain forward-looking statements about planned features, product roadmap, and future capabilities. These statements reflect current expectations and are subject to change. We do not guarantee that any planned feature or capability will be delivered in the form described or on any specific timeline.
